Light, chosen with intent.

La Bohini started with a simple frustration: most lighting and home decor stores sell you products, not judgment. We wanted to build the opposite — a place where every piece has already been through the filter of two people who've spent their careers thinking about how spaces actually feel to live in.

We're the founders of La Bohini. One of us is an architect, the other an interior designer. Between us, we've spent more than 25 years in the industry — designing buildings, furnishing homes, and learning, piece by piece, what actually makes a room work.

Why we started this

Somewhere along the way, we noticed the same thing kept happening on our own projects: we'd spend hours hunting for the right pendant light or the right accent piece, wading through catalogs full of things that looked fine in a photo but fell flat in a real room. Scale was off. Materials felt cheap in person. Or the piece was beautiful but impossible to actually source.

So we started keeping our own list — the fixtures and objects we kept coming back to, project after project, because they worked. La Bohini is that list, made public.

What "handpicked" actually means here

Every product in our store has passed through both an architect's eye and a designer's eye. That means we're not just asking "is this beautiful?" We're asking how it holds light, how it scales in a real room, what it's made of, and whether we'd actually put it in a home we designed. If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't make the cut.

We're not trying to carry everything. We're trying to carry the right things — the pieces we're genuinely passionate about, that we'd choose for our own spaces and our own clients.

Our approach

Sourced with a design eye. We look for pieces the way we'd look for them on a project — for proportion, material, and craft, not just trend.

Tested against real rooms. Before anything joins the collection, we think through how it actually lives in a space: the light it throws, the shadow it casts, where it earns its place.

Chosen because we love it. No filler, no padding out the catalog. If it's on La Bohini, it's because one of us wanted it in a home we cared about.
